A major focus and vision of our Founders – Ministering to the Ministers in the Pastoral Field – received a new dimension in MCBS when an initiative to help the Formation-Personnel has been taken by Rev. Frs. Antony Kalapura and Jacob Manampurath. This took the form of establishing an Institute by name “PRASADA” and conducting Training Courses and Classes for the Clergy and for the Religious. To implement this project of helping the Formation-Personnel on a larger scale and on permanent basis, a plot of land was purchased in 2005, at Udbur Village, 11 Kilometers from Mysore City, on Mysore-Mananthavady Road (H. D. Kote Road). This project was approved by Mar Jose Porunnedom, the Bishop of the Diocese of Manathavady. Programmes for equipping the formation–personnel with psycho-social and spiritual insights for themselves and for whom they minister to are being envisioned. Special feature of ‘PRASADA’ is its focus on the Eucharist as the forming and transforming agent of the person and the personality of every minister. In the year 2011 a school named St Joseph’s Prasada Public School was started aiming at giving proper education to the village children around Prasada.
