When the house was started at Parathode, Kanjirappally, it was intended for the college study of our minor seminarians. Later on it was decided to be the Novitiate House of the Congregation. Most Rev. Antony Padiyara blessed the house on 18th May 1974. The first batch started their novitiate here in June 1974. The chapel was consecrated on 12th January 1975. Later on 10 acres of Rubber Plantation was purchased. The first floor of the house was blessed on 27th January 1991. The new chapel was constructed and consecrated in 1994.
