In accordance with the decision of the General Synaxis of 2009 Fr. George Vallikattukuzhiyil, the then General Councilor for Missionary Apostolate, visited Brazil in 2011 and had meetings with Dom Salvador Paruzzo, Bishop of Qurinhos and Don Angelo Pignoli, Bishop of the Diocese of Quixada. The bishops welcomed our priests to their respective dioceses. São Félix, Palmatória pastoral area , in the diocese of Quixada was assigned to MCBS Emmaus Province. The official institution and inauguration of the pastoral area was on 22nd February 2014 by Bishop Angelo Pignoli. The pastoral area consists of one parish with 2000 parishners and 10 other interior communities.
